Well, we are finally in and pretty much unpacked.  So here are the pictures of our home with furniture and lived in!!!

Note to those who are following pinterest.  Your new home never looks like those pictures unless you don't have kids and you never actually do anything in your home.  So mine is used and loved and it only looks clean because I picked up all of the clutter before I took the pictures.  Five minutes later it was messy again.  But, I decided I would rather have kids than a perfect house so there you go.

Dinette off the kitchen.  That is a sliding glass door but it is locked because there is a long fall to the ground.  Apparently, decks are not included in the price of the home.

Well that is about it.  I didn't take a picture of Amanda's bed or bath because it looks like a tornado hit it.  For how neat she used to be, she is pretty messy right now.  I just shut the door when I walk by!

Two Weeks to Closing

This is probably the last set of pictures I will post before we move into the house.  It is clean and beautiful.  We have our walkthrough next Tuesday.  It is nice to see it with the floors uncovered and all 

of the dust removed.  We are so excited to move in.

We are getting closer

We found out 2 weeks ago that we will be closing 2 weeks early on our home.  We have the closing date set for February 7th.  We're so excited... we just can't hide it.
Stuff is starting to pile up around the apartment and we have no where else to put it.  We are tired of being on top of each other and look forward with GREAT anticipation to more space and our own rooms and not dirty carpet!! Yea.
***So we have now given all of the information the bank needs for the loan.  Have you tried to get a loan lately, it requires more paperwork than our adoptions did.  We almost had to give blood and our first born child, but luckily, we get to keep Amanda.

Joshua turns 4!

Happy 4th Birthday Joshua!!

We love you so much.

For his birthda this year, Josh wanted a mint cake.  I don't know what that is so I made a Spiderman cake instead and he was pleased.  I don't think he really knew what I meant when I asked him what kind he wanted.  I had to borrow the round cake pans from a friend at church.  That is how little I have in this kitchen for cooking. But it turned out great.

And a remote control monster truck which we love to race down the hallways of the apartment building.  Luckily, it has not gone down the stairs. His grandparents also sent money which has bought him some much needed clothes and savings for his mission.

 In February when we move in, we are going to have a little party and invite some of his friends.  It is going to be a superhero party.  That will be fun!
